My uncle was a full time reservist in the Air Force and would travel a lot. He'd send us post cards when he had time. This is from a trip to Hawaii in November of 1985.
Time to start scanning some of my older cards. Some were exchanged with family and friends while in high school and some I found in a box of old photos from my grandmother's house.
I remember one of my English teachers in High School was a big Hitchcock fan and he made us watch at least one of his movies. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it though. I've only seen bits and pieces of any of the others.
Chas Addams was the creator of the Addams Family. It started as a comic that ran in the New Yorker Magazine and was later developed into a TV show, with 2 movies to follow.
Chatham Lighthouse in Cape Cod, Massachusetts built in 1808. Funny I was born in MA and during the time I lived there never visited Cape Cod. It wasn't until we went back to visit years later that we made a short trip there.
Cute card combining a couple favorites. As a kid Garfield was on of my favorite cartoon characters. This Norman Rockwell painting has always been a family favorite since my brother is a police officer.
Located in Black Hills, South Dakota. The Wall Drug Store was saved from bankruptcy during the depression by offering free ice water to the traveling public.
