Kennedy Space Center, Florida

I joined a couple US to US round robin's to add to our collection of US State cards. Here's the first of those. A card from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. We've visited FL a couple times with the kids but have never made it to the Space Center. Maybe next time. I'd love to be able to see a space shuttle launch someday.
BTW, HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!!

Finland

Another official card from Finland (FI-139793). A nice summer view!

Wicklow County, Ireland

I mentioned a few posts ago that a family friend had taken a trip and sent us a few cards. Here is the second of 3 she sent. This one is from Ireland.
I really like the views on this one. Here is the description from the back of the card (since it's in English and I can understand what it says! :)-- Wicklow County, considered to be the Garden of Ireland. This card features the Round Tower of Glendalough, Powerscourt Gardens and the picturesque Village of Greystones.

Finland

This is the Petajavesi old church in Finland. Official card (FI-138322). The sender wrote that it is a UNESCO WHS site. I've seen this term before and I know a lot of people collect UNESCO cards but I'm not sure I completely understand what they are. I've done a little searching online. If anyone out there can give me a good site that explains and lists them I'd appreciate it! Thanks :)

Veliky Novgorod, Russia

An official card from Russia! (RU-5193)
This is St. Sophia's Cathedral, the main cathedral of the city. This card took almost 3 months to arrive. wow!

It's been awhile!

Wow, it's been almost a month since I've updated. I have a pile of about 15-20 cards sitting here. Luckily I haven't been real active in receiving so it shouldn't take me too long to catch up. We'll see.
This first one is an official card from Finland showing the traditional act of mazing hay in August. (FI-134092):

And this one is from a church tag we did. The card is from Germany and shows the "Rock Church" which is a popular tourist attraction.

Germany and Finland

Ok, I took some German in High School and College so I know a couple words on this card but not the entire thing. Gotta dig out the trusy German/English dictionary and look a few up.
This is an official card (DE-57279) received this past week.

This one is a Thank you card for one we sent to a fellow postcrosser in Finland.

Bald Eagle

Another card from my mom while she was on vacation. She also spent a few days in LaCrosse, WI. I guess there are quite a few Bald Eagles around there so she sent this card.
